ANI 203 - Introduction to 3D Computer Animation

3 Cr.


Students learn the organizational structure of the interface of Autodesk Maya., along with basic three-dimensional modeling techniques using NURBS, polygons and subdivision surfaces.  Fundamental lighting, shading, texturing and rendering techniques are also covered.  Students will apply knowledge of the principles of animation to a three-dimensional environment and implement basic key-framing skills to create more technically advanced computer animations. Open to non-majors. Usually offered in the Fall semester
Pre-Requisites: ANI 101, ANI 103
