DIG 112 - Advanced Web Design

3 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 3 Lec.

Advanced Web Design builds upon the basic HTML and CSS skills acquired in DIG 111, Introduction to Web Design.  This course introduces students to various techniques, standards, and applications that are used to add animation, interactivity and responsiveness to web pages. Topics include: HTML; Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and formatting of web pages; web fonts; search engine optimization; file management; and web site maintenance.  Technologies such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP), PHP and JavaScript, and issues such as accessibility and designing for mobile devices are also addressed.

Pre-Requisites: DIG 111 or permission of the instructor
