BIO 103 - Bioinformatics Introduction2 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 2 Lec.
This is the first semester of a 2-semester sequence of courses in which students will become familiar with both the theory and techniques used in bioinformatics. Included will be a description of how these techniques are used in such varied fields as medicine, forensics, and evolutionary biology. It will be the prerequisite course to BIO 104, which will put this knowledge into practice.
Pre-Requisites: BIO 109, 109L
Co-Requisites: BIO 110, 110L
General Education: Meets SUNY requirement for Natural Sciences (NS)
