Small Business Development Center


The Niagara Small Business Development Center, located at SUNY Niagara main campus at 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, provides a wide range of management assistance and technical services to entrepreneurs and small business owners. Administered by the State University of New York, the Niagara SBDC specializes in providing one-on-one counseling on small business problems and offers training and advisement targeted to the needs and interest of small business persons. There are no fees for counseling. Types of assistance provided include:

  • Start-up information
  • Business plan development
  • Financial analysis
  • Economic Resiliency Support
  • Recordkeeping basics
  • Funding sources
  • Market research and strategy development
  • Cash-flow projections
  • Government Procurement
  • Strategic Planning
  • Training programs on a variety of topics
  • Planning assistance and resources for those looking to expand their global markets

In addition to the free one-on-one counseling services, the Center works closely with federal and state agencies and regional resource partners.  The center is staffed with experienced professionals who customize their assistance to the specific needs of each client. The Niagara SBDC is part of the NYSBDC and America’s SBDC (ASBDC).  There is a Research Network available to SBDC clients that provides industry trend information, demographics, start-up guides, company lists, and more, all at no charge.  All advisement is by appointment.
