Chemical Dependency Counseling

1. A total of at least 30-credit hours with a minimum curriculum grade-point average of 2.0. Academic Foundations courses do not count toward the certificate.
2. Human Services: A minimum of 21-credit hours to include:

   HUS 101 - Introduction Human Services

   HUS 102 - Human Services Internship I

   HUS 114 - Introduction to Addictions: The Individual & Family 

   HUS 123 - The Helping Process

   HUS 215 - Substance Abuse Interventions

   HUS 216 - Chemical Dependency Topics

   HUS 245  -  Social and Cultural Dimensions of Counseling
3. Psychology: A minimum of 9-credit hours to include:

   PSY 110 - Introduction to Psychology

   PSY 210 - Lifespan Developmental Psychology

   PSY 250 - Abnormal Psychology
