CRJ 203 - Deviant Behavior

3 Cr.

A sociological overview of the field of deviance. The course will primarily explore definitions, major theoretical perspectives, and the causes of deviant behavior. The substantive areas of murder, rape, prostitution, child abuse, pornography, serial homicide, suicide, cyber deviance, and other selected sex offenses will be explored from an inter-disciplinary perspective. Meets SUNY General Education requirement for Social Sciences (S)(Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.)
