ESL 027 - ESL Speaking/Listening

3 Cr.

This course is designed for English as a Second Language students who need to improve their conversational and aural comprehension abilities in English. Students will practice understanding idiomatic expressions, pronunciation and intonation patterns as well as aural comprehension through role-play with classmates and native speakers, modeling acceptable speech by repeating after the instructor and taped exercises.

Pre-Requisites: Through advisement, students scoring below 80 on the Compass ESL Listening Test will be recommended for ESL 027.
