CRJ 303 - Field Studies in Criminal Justice I

Field Studies in an Internship Program designed to provide Criminal Justice majors the opportunity to observe and gain insight into the daily operations of the criminal justice system and its component agencies. Students will be placed in various agencies of the criminal justice system. Students will learn firsthand how criminal justice agencies function and how professionals in the field fulfill their responsibilities to their respective agencies. Agencies included in the program cover the areas of law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and related security agencies. The program also provides the student an opportunity to integrate their field experiences with their classroom learning.

Note: Students cannot register for the course on their own. Students must meet with the Criminal Justice Coordinator and complete a Field Studies Placement form. Upon consultation and completion of the form, the Coordinator will register the student.
Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters
Pre-Requisites: CRJ 101, CRJ 102, completion of at least 30 credit hours, and matriculation in CRJ
