THA 101 - Acting for Non-Majors

3 Cr.

A lecture-demonstration-laboratory course. A basic survey of the introductory principles of acting for the general liberal arts student. The contents include study of the history of acting, aspects of character, action/objective, and improvisation techniques. Practical experience is provided through participation in laboratory experiences and final performance project. Meets SUNY General Education requirement for The Arts (AR).
