CHE 230 - Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry

3 Cr.

A non-majors course in organic chemistry which is primarily oriented to the needs of students in health and safety related curricula. The emphasis is on the uses, occurrence and function of organic compounds with the number of organic reactions and synthetic methods kept to a minimum. (Usually offered Spring semester.)
Pre-Requisites: CHE 110 or CHE 120 and permission of the instructor.
General Education: Meets SUNY requirement for Natural Sciences (NS)
