CRJ 202 - Juvenile Justice & Delinquency

3 Cr.


A comprehensive study and overview of the juvenile delinquency phenomenon and the process involved in its causation, prevention, control and treatment. Students interested in pursuing a profession in youth programming and development would be provided with opportunities to learn and discuss such issues as: child abuse and neglect, broken homes, the juvenile court structure, the juvenile officer, and the current thoughts about juvenile diversion programs. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semester, also On-Line.)
General Education: Meets SUNY requirement for Social Science (SS)
