THA 211 - Acting for Animation

3 Cr.

This course will include study of the skills and sensibilities associated with communication through speech, the physical appearance and structure of the vocal articulators, the implementation of the Laban effort actions and their relationship to the development of a character and the use of improvisation as a tool for creating and evaluating narrative structure.  Practical experience is provided through participation in laboratory experiences and final performance projects. Open to non-majors. Usually offered Fall semester.
