AMG 201 - History of Zoos and Alternative Facilities

1 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 1 Lec.

This course will cover the history, philosophy, purpose, and importance of zoological parks, aquariums, and alternative facilities such as conservation centers, propagation centers, and eco-parks.  This course will also introduce the student to selected topics in zoo and animal management, and the keeper’s role within the various facilities.  Restricted to Animal Management students.
Usually offered Fall semester
Pre-Requisites: AMG 101 that may be met concurrently
