ANI 102 - Scriptwriting & Storyboarding for Animation

Contact Hours Per Week: 2 Lec., 2 Lab

Students will explore various brainstorming techniques as well as methods for structuring stories for short animated films. Techniques include developing and formatting their own short script, interpreting scripts into storyboards, and the storyboarding process. Emphasis on visual storytelling and cinematic language. At the end of the course, students will transform a storyboard into a final story reel with sound, learning digital editing and audio fundamentals. Open to non-majors.
