ANT 208 - Monkeys, Apes & Man

Contact Hours Per Week: 3 Lec.

This course is designed to acquaint students with the interrelationships of behavior, anatomy, and the environment in the study of the human and non-human primates. Important topics will include: Scientific Methods in Primate Studies, primate classification, a survey of representative forms, primate behavior, primate anatomy and conservation of wild and captive primates. Students will learn and apply methods of analysis appropriate for Primate anatomy and behavior studies. Because of the interest many disciplines share in primate studies, students who enjoy biology, anthropology, psychology, and animal management may find this course particularly useful. Also available as BIO 133.
