PSY 270 - Psychology of Teaching and Learning3 Cr.

The course examines the principles of psychology as they apply to education and is designed to provide the psychological foundation for future educational methods courses. Course topics include student characteristics and variability; standardized tests and the assessment of student abilities and achievement; coping with diversity in the classroom; psychological approaches to education, motivation; and maintaining an effective learning environment.
