PED 255 - Advanced Weight Training1 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 2 Lab
Provides the student with review of the muscular system and details how alternative resistance training methods will illicit desired responses from the body. The course includes the use of medicine balls, exercise balls, resistance bands, TRX, BOSU balls and other applicable cutting-edge equipement. Safe use of equipment will be covered in addition to proper warm-up, stretching and cool-down methods. This course should be considered as an alternative to PED 155 for those students who will go on to utilize these advanced techniques in a professional setting.
