PTA 150 - Clinical Practicum I

4 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 12 Lab

This initial clinical exposure will provide students with hands-on application of the skills acquired during the first academic year of the program. Students are assigned to a clinical facility, typically in Western New York, at the discretion of the Director of Clinical Education, and dependent upon the availability of clinical sites. Students will complete six weeks of full-time (37-40 hours/week) clinical education. Supervision is provided directly by either licensed physical therapists or certified physical therapist assistants employed at the clinical site.

Concurrent Requirement: Pre-requisites that may be met concurrently: PTA 130, PTA 131L, BIO 214, BIO 214L
