Contact Hours Per Week: 3 Lec.
Explore literary and dramatic interpretation as a means to create narrative art direction as well as character designs for graphic novels, children’s books and animation. Use of basic organic shapes to construct characters is explored. Exaggerated proportion, paradoxes and posture to enhance and change character are emphasized. A variety of art direction and design styles are also presented. Open to non-majors.
