HOS 212 - Industry Experience3 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 1 Lec., 6 Lab
The student will enroll in this course and gain hands on experience in culinary arts, hospitality management or baking and pastry arts with select industry partners in the local area. A total of 90 hours of on-the-job experience must be completed in order to receive course credit along with any other related course work such as journals, projects, and performance appraisals, etc. This course focuses on industry experience, facility design and sustainability in the hospitality industry. Students will be required to attend a weekly 50 minute lecture.
