PAS 205 - Bakery Experience I2 Cr. Contact Hours Per Week: 6 Lab
The student will learn all aspects of a bakery while working in and producing baked goods for the student driven bakeshop La Patisserie. The student will rotate work positions throughout the Patisserie. The student will work both the front of the house serving customers, and the back of the house preparing baked goods to be sold in the bakeshop. The student will have to be cognizant of the following: sanitation and safety regulations, food selection, storage, preparation, inventory controls and customer service. The major emphasis of the course will be to provide an opportunity for the student to gain experience within the school. While rotating through various work assignments, the student will be able to use the knowledge and experience gained in other courses.
Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters Pre-Requisites: PAS 100, PAS 101, PAS 102, PAS 103, PAS 106, PAS 110
