ART 131 - Digital Design

3 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 6 Lab.

Digital Design covers the creation and manipulation of visual content using a range of software tools to communicate ideas, concepts, and information effectively across a range of digital platforms. Through a combination of lectures, research, hands-on projects, and group critique, students will learn the fundamentals of graphic design, composition, digital imaging, typography, and layout for digital display. Projects will emphasize the application of core design principles to modern digital practices using industry-standard software. By the end of the course, students will have experience problem-solving content creation to generate visually compelling designs, giving them the foundational knowledge for a range of careers in graphic design, digital media, and web design.
