CRJ 206 - Women and Crime

3 Cr.


This course is an introduction to the study of women and crime. It will provide an overview of how women both affect are effected by crime and the criminal justice system. The course has been divided into three areas of study: understanding women as (1) criminal offenders, as (2) victims of crime, and as (3) professional employees of the criminal justice system. In addition, there will be guest speakers from the criminal justice community who will share their experiences and perceptions as women in a predominantly male field. Occasionally Offered Course
