CHE 105 - Chemistry in Pop Culture

3 Cr.
Contact Hours Per Week: 3 Lec.
This course will delve into the fascinating intersection of chemistry and pop culture!  Students will learn scientific literacy skills to understand and critically evaluate scientific information used and misused throughout pop culture.  Topics will include the scientific method, discerning fact from fiction, logical fallacies, and an introduction to chemistry principles through class discussions, multimedia analysis, and critical thinking exercises.
Pre-Requisites: Completion or waiver for all foundation courses (AAC/ENG/MAT)
General Education: Meets SUNY requirement for Natural Science & Scientific Reasoning (NSCI)
